I am starting to see why this figure is so sought after...

To be honest it does look great, but I'd rather wait it out for this one.
Or the war of kings one in doom's signature. Last edited by yourfacehere; 10-02-2011 at 08:51 PM.. |

There are a couple variants of the armor.
There's the v1 classic, v2, then the WoK which combines both and has even more armor types. What we have right now is the basic Razor/WoK Ascension Darkhawk. It's not too far off from his classic, but has more of a point on the helmet. The classic doesn't have silver point on the top, just ont he front. Plus the wings are black and purple-ish red on the classic. Honestly no clue what the classic will look like difference-wise, only those that saw the slides might know if it was shown. He hasn't hit retail yet, and won't probably until the revision cases. Even a fresh case of this wave doesn't have the variant. I do hope they do head variants for Talon and Gyre though. As well as whatever other Darkhawks pop up later in the comics. Razor/Darkhawk/Chris Powell is the red visored Red Gem one. Blue gem is Talon, green gem is Gyre. |

ok, so i found one yesterday, and i cant keep the wings on to save my life. i might bond them to the wrist if it keeps happening. At least falcon had the right idea. On the outside, its a great addition to cosmic MU, and it makes me even more pumped for Nova next year. Nova is probably gonna be in demand by next year cause hes being brought back to life(no surprise there, cause haha comics).

I like this Darkhawk figure, but I'd rather not see Hasbro waste budget on tooling for a variant of this guy. There are hundreds of characters that need special tooling and we already have one Darkhawk now. I like the Talon repaint idea above.

Sooo.... Anyone for a Raptor Boxed set?

Okay, here's a good picture to use for what I'm about to say.
Here we have Talon (left) and Darkhawk (right). I'm pretty sure that image of Darkhawk is the last of his original look. As you can tell Talon and Darkhawk have different helmet designs. And the Darkhawk figure we're aware of has the helmet that looks like Talon's (which I believe is the modern helmet). So if we're getting a variant Darkhawk that's a classic version of himself, it would most likely be this one right here... I still think a paint variant of Darkhawk to look like Talon would be the coolest thing. Ever. Last edited by M3T4L V1KING; 10-03-2011 at 03:17 PM.. |

If what you said is true, Razor is his own character now and Darkhawk is also his own. Also, I'm also downloading War of Kings to read just to figure out who's who. Because I'm confused all to shit right now.

Sort of, when I was reading into it it said that there's a whole bunch of them, it's like the interplanetary league of assassins, the guy who was controlling the raptor was apparently a skrull archeologist, he lost control of it and the A.I. kicked in which apparently was talon.

Wow and the pics continue. lol How many slightly different Darkhawk armors are there? Looks to me like every artist took license with the angles of the armor as they saw fit. I just hope the variant actually looks different. Thanks for the pics guys.

It would be War of Kings (I think). The 2 main Darkhawk stories are War of Kings: Darkhawk and War of Kings: Ascension.

In other words it's under War of Kings.
Anyways, I'm ready some Darkhawk stuff, and it's pretty confusing but it looks like Razor is the gem that Darkhawk uses? So Darkhawk is the guy, while Razor is the armor (which has it's own mind apparently?). |

Well...it's like this:
There's War of Kings which is the big event crossover main title and the Darkhawk miniseries which was tied closelt to WoK) was Darkhawk: Ascension. Both kick crazy ass but are best read together. Noting beats seeing the Sh'Iar Imperial Guard stomp the holy hell out of the Inhumans! Great art too! As to Darkhawk's armors- it's like this: Darkhawk (all Raptors) use an artifical construct bodyw with integrated armor systems. The various modes the armor has been shown to have so far are: Default (original costume). Speed (the version the MU figure is) Stealth (all transparant black, no wings) Heavy Weapons The armor also can project a hologram around itself to blend into crowds- making it look like a generic version of the people around it. |

Lots of good (albeit confusing) information about Darkhawk here. Never was that into the character until his MU figure was announced, and now I'm finding him more and more intriguing as I learn about him.
Fixed
